Have you suffered from Non-Freezing Cold Injury symptoms? We're here to help ...
If you are in the services or have been and suffering from a non-freezing cold injury and your symptoms have been present for less than 3 years (or you failed to link the injuries to your service for less than 3 years), then you could be entitled to make a claim through our 'No Win No Fee' policy.
What is Non-Freezing Cold Injury?
Non-freezing cold injury (NFCI) is an injury to the hands and/or feet caused by exposure to wet and cold conditions. Usually by being exposed to temperatures just above zero. Unfortunately many service persons are outside for prolonged periods of time and they are exposed to these conditions and develop NFCI.
It is more often associated with soldiers but it can and does affect other other military personnel. It is also known as ‘trench foot’.
What are the NFCI symptoms?
What is the effect of NFCI?
Non-freezing cold injury is easily treatable so it is not widely recognised that a non-freezing cold injury can result in lifelong symptomatically. However this can have a detrimental impact on continuing service, home life and civilian work prospects once you have left the military which often causes PTSD, depression and anxiety. In some instances, a non-freezing cold injury can cause a soldier to be medically discharged prematurely, when they would have otherwise continued with their full military service.
